At a time of new resolutions, it is likely that 2019 will be placed under the banner of the fight against female violence. According to a study published in 2013 by the European Union's "Daphne Project", an average of 3,500 women are killed by their partners each year in 27 of the EU's Member States. In addition, the Study on Violence Against Women published by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights in 2014 showed that no more than 14% of women residing in an EU Member State report cases of domestic violence to the police.
